Fibro scan,information,
This might help - you can't take fibroscan result in isolation and it has to be looked at alongside your blood results. Fibroscan can't tell the difference between ongoing inflammation and actual fibrous tissue so if inflammmation markers are raised your kPa can sometimes be falsly inflated.

Hi,
Katie has kindly shared the helpful FibroScan table below. We would also suggest that it is very important to discuss your result and any possible raise, with your own doctors, they have access to your complete medical history and are best placed to guide you.
If the numbers in your other post are correct you need to have your Dr explain them to you and certainly need advice. Those numbers are very high and may indicate advanced problems.
They're very stance, prob because it was just after massive Infection was clearing, had major probs with bowel, colon, liver bile duct infection, inflamed liver, its all under investigation, long use of aspirin ,17 years, now inconclusive covid screen last march in hospital, but no symptoms whatsoever,!!,just trying to get meds correct for my heart condition, thanks for reply.
Mine was 20.3Kpa in Feb 2019. Don't know what it is now as the new area I live at the gastroenterology staff tell me fibroscan is only used to confirm cirrhosis. I disagree. But am not overly worried as I know I am compensating and have cut paracetamol out of my life along with meat, alcohol and I never add salt to anything and avoid salty foods. Still smoke though, but have cut right down and will stop eventually once this stressful episode of my life has passed by.
Hi,thanks for reply, can't see to make sense of it at all, like I say drink played a big part in my life when I lost everything through divorce, 4-5 years, not seen a consultant GP since last may, apart from fibro scan late last October, My solicitor is getting involved with this now and I have requested all my admission notes, last march- may,-, I rang consultants secretary last month to request DS1500, since I have had an appointment request,But he still Denys being part in the DNAR last march, but apart from that feeling OK, eating well cut out all medication ,to be honest they was making me feel worse,my choice and I wouldn't recommend it !!!, gave up with my gp practice complete waste of time, keep strong, a friend of mine just had a fibro scan hers was 56.kpa,and never drank.so at a loss.
