Lockdown has been extremely difficult for us all. Sometimes people can become fixated on symptoms or diagnoses despite all medical tests and investigations being normal.
Health anxiety (sometimes called Hypochondria) is when you spend so much time worrying you’re ill it starts to take over your life.
If you feel that you may have health anxiety we would urge you to try to contact your GP to get some help. The NHS have a really useful page on this;
I’m ok until I read that cirrhosis can’t be detected on US, one of your team put it on here a month ago, also my “perfect” blood panel, doesn’t rule cirrhosis out. Medics say one thing and then I read on here another. It’s enough to send anybody round the twist.
What one of the team may have meant is that it is important that a doctor also looks at other medical tests and investigations as well when making a diagnosis.
