Just a question. I know about medical advice etc on this site but I would value your opinions
Do these look like Terry's nails? They are very white.

Not that we are meant to offer comment on photos. I'd still say that those are not Terry's Nails as your lunula are present in that picture too Nick. Even if they were Terry's Nails these are no longer regarded as definitive for liver disease. You still need to get yourself properly medically assessed and proper tests and hopefully you'll get to know where you are with your liver.

NO !!!
Hiya Nick, don't worry, ask your friendly GP or pharmacist. Your nails look fine. Into perspective, I have decompensated cirrhosis and have lovely nails 🤔xx
Bless you. Thank you for the reply matty. I'm sorry to hear your situation. I hope it gets better for you. Theres me worring about my bloody nails. Take care of yourself and thank you. Nick x
Hiya Nick, no I'm fine. Please don't worry unnecessarily.
Just wanted you to know that despite an awful prognosis, I'm still fighting!
One day at a time...😊xxx
Don’t look like terry nails to me
Thanks for the reply Bachien. Do you know what since posting that they are starting to look better like normal nails now. Maybe it's all in my head. Take care and that's for reply
That's all we can do.
Nick, your nails look a lot like mine. Mine are pale but instead of being white at the lower half they are paler at the top of the nail with the lunula still visable. It's only become noticeable these past few days especially on my thumbs which are very prominent. All my tests have been normal (bloods, ultrasounds, fibroscans) besides ELF which was 7.8 so close enough. I've a list of symptoms as long as my arm. I also have a de ritis ratio of 1.3 which indicates cirrhosis but on the Fib4 and APRI my results indicate F0-1 fibrosis. The nails thing has me even more freaked out, I'm hoping its more from something like F2-3 rather than full blown cirrohis. Maybe you're like me and have some damage but not quite as far gone as cirrhosis. Hope you get some answers 😊. I know what it feels like to be in a cobstant state of worry with no answers.
I like your reply xxx. Thank you. Maybe we are not mad after all xxx. But we still keep looking
