Does anyone have a recommendation for keeping track of diet specifically for those with liver-related diseases (so for example if it sees you're eating too much whole wheat bread it will warn you to cut down on it or something similar)

Surely you don't need an app to tell you what not to eat and vice versa. Its all over Google what people with liver disease have to avoid etc and an app to let you know you've eaten too much of a certain food surely your brain does that work lol...I think I might need an app 🤣🤣.
Good question daigo1 I would definitely like to know the answer to this o start with a private dietician next week
Thanks Hayley 😊
I use myfitnesspal.com where I put in the max grams of carbs, fats, protein, and sugar I'm to consume. Everyday, I put my proposed eating plan into the program to determine if I'm going to exceed the limits.
I googled about how many calories I should eat etc... i spoke to my doctor and nutritionist about salt, fat, sugar etc... and I have put these figures into myfitness pal then, if, IF I remember I put in my food everyday. It gets quicker once is starts storing your regular meals or foods. It shows you how much of each you have eaten that day so you can see where you are going right or wrong. It is very good when you use it 😁
Hi,
If you have a liver condition, there are some special considerations you may need to make in your diet to stay nutritionally well and to help to manage your condition. Some of these are specific to certain liver diseases, others relate to how advanced your liver disease is. We therefore always suggest that people should discuss their specific dietary needs with their own doctors in the first instance.
