Hi I'm new here and wanted to ask if anyone has ever been the the same thing. It felt like an ulcer at first. I've had it for over a month. I had my gallbladder taken out over a year ago. A gastroenterologist did an endoscopy and said I had gastritis and an inflamed colon but said nothing about what might be causing the pain. He put me on a proton pimp inhibitor. I'm in agony and don't know what to do.

Feel for you as there are a lot of us on here in the same boat including myself. PPI's are prescribed for everything gastric and are a symptom of lazy diagnosis in my opinion. I got rid of Heartburn by changing my diet. PPI's are known to damage the gut flora by making the gut a more bad bacteria friendly environment. Have you had your liver checked out?
Thanks for your kind words. I need my liver checked. My doctor did some blood work and didn't seem to care much more about it. I'm going to ask for some scans because this isn't like anything I have felt before. How are you doing today ?
Try to get a fibroscan if you can with a CAP score. This will tell you how stiff your liver is, and a CAP score which will tell you if you have fatty liver. I paid for a fibroscan initially as it was taking too long through the NHS which at present is the NCS so nothing un-Covid related is happening fast which can't be helped.
