These obscure and very minor symptoms don't in themselves indicate that anything is necessarily wrong with your liver, it seems to be a thing at the moment that we are getting lots of posters with slightly red hands convincing themselves it's liver disease.

If you have concerns about your liver (based on what you perceive are reddened hands) then please contact your doctor for some blood tests as these will identify if you have a potential issue.

It's winter time, hands get red and blotchy and it can be totally unrelated to having an underlying condition but the only way to find out for sure is to see a doctor, asking loads of other folks who have red hands what theirs turned out to be isn't helping at all.

My hubby does have cirrhosis and never have I seen a doctor examining the palms of his hands as a diagnostic tool.

Get proper tests carried out and you'll know for definite one way or another.

Hello, I have had red blotchy hands for about a year now. I thought it seemed strange and I did ask my doctor about it, he said it’s nothing to worry about and shrugged it off. I just found out however that I have NAFL. I’m wondering now if there’s a correlation. They get very blotchy, at certain times it almost looks like purple blotches. My palms though are always red and blotchy. I keep hoping it will go away but I just live with it now. My left palm does cause me some discomfort now, feels like pressure but it’s hard to explain. The outer part by my palm by my wrist is the most “inflamed”. Not sure what it is but if you find anything out would love to hear..since my doctor doesn’t seem to know. I’m very curious to know what causes this although from what I have read it could be a multitude of things. Best of luck.
