I should ask your doctor in general you can't drink water several hours before you have an ultrasound if that is the scan you are having? A doctor should be able to give you the correct advice.

Speak to your doc what scan are you having ? I had an ultrasound last week and it was clear liquid only ct with contrast is different again

Please call the number on your appointment letter and speak to someone in the scanning department to get the correct advice.
