If water is flushing out toxins, a toxin-free state can give the liver time to repair itself. I could not find any studies belonging to cirrhosis. Only those who drank a lot of water showed less fatty liver disease.
Do you know a scientist who has tried this?

Your question needs a bit more understanding as to what cirrhosis is.
Imagine that you had a condition whereby you were to self-harm yourself and cut your arm repeatedly. After a while, scar tissue will begin to form. if you were to continue to cut your arm, more scars will form.
Now, washing your arm in sterilised water or some secret elixir that grows in the Amazon rainforest isn’t going to make any difference as the scar tissue is permanent.
The liver is a bit like this. I have a hepatologist friend down in London who describes it like this.
If you were to prick your hand 10 times and it bleeds, then after a few weeks the skin will regrow and the hand will heal. Now, if you were to prick your hand say a hundred times, it will still heal but scar tissue will now begin to form. Now if you were to prick your hand say 300 times, then your hand just isn’t going to make it.
The liver is a bit like this. Once scar tissue begins to form, this can’t be replaced or repaired (yet). The liver is a tough organ, and even when it’s heavily scarred it can still regenerate enough in some people to function and carry out most of the 500+ functions it performs.
Medical research is continuing to find a way to replace scarred tissue cells by using a person's own stem cells.
The liver's job is to detox the blood and the body and rid it of harmful chemicals. The liver doesn’t need detoxing.
10 litres of water a day is extremely dangerous, you might flush out some toxins but you will definitely flush out essential minerals and vitamins , you will develop dangerously low essential elements. If you do this you will die quicker than your liver disease. Do Not Do This!
A radio station contest had people keep drinking a ton of water and one drank so much he (or she, not sure) died. 2 Liters a day is where you most people should stop. There are some people who should drink more (professional athletes, people working physical labor in the hot sun) but they know who they are.
Yep, I remember that. Wee for wii (gaming system contest) Bad thing is people were calling into the radio station trying to warn about the dangers and telling them not to do it. They obviously didn’t listen.
It could be very dangerous. My mother with end stage liver disease was put on a low salt and low fluid diet. Too much fluid with severe cirrhosis can be fatal. Speak to your doctor and get a referral to the dieticians before you do anything.
I was once in intensive care for 2 days after seizures caused by severely low sodium levels. Caused in part, by drinking too much water. 10 litres is a crazy amount of water to be drinking. Don't try it.
18 mos ago when I was told I had fatty liver, fibrosis which is scarring of the liver and some cirrhosis, I was told to stop all alcohol, start a low carb diet and exercise, all this originated because have been a diabetic all my life, I am 69 yrs old. Since my start II have reversed my fatty liver and most of my fibrosis and even some of my cirrhosis. I also drink nothing but water or black coffee. No sugar. I live in the states and my Drs have some new results about cirrhosis than the British.
