Blotchy hands.

Been under the nhs for the last 18months both at the liver and gastro unit. Had 2 ultrasounds of my liver, blood tests, fibroscan of 3.8 kpa, a ct scan of my abomden and a mri of my small bowel. All of which the doctors have said is fine apart from some inflammation in my small intestines. Ive now started to notice my hands becoming blotchy and have redness to them with constant bubbling in between my shoulder blades. I scared that the fibrosis they indicated is not improving.

Any advice please im going out of my mind

I think you are reading way too much into your so called blotchy palms which look totally normal based on that photo. You seem to have had the best scans going in a CT and an MRI scan plus a fibroscan with a very low kPa figure which is below any score that even indicates early fibrosis.

As you are under a liver/gastro unit you are receiving excellent care. What took you there in the first place? What do you think is the reason for concern over your liver?

Don't go googling every bizarre symptom in the book and convincing yourself you have them, it sounds from all your tests that there isn't anything untoward going on with your liver at all if you are practically getting an all clear on that score. If you know the cause then you can address that.

Hi,

I woke up one morning feeling really unwell and stomach burning, really tightness in my chest. I went to the doc who run some LFTs and said everything look fine .

I did drink through the week and sometimes on the weekend but did vary depending on stressful my week was.

Three months into this I was diagnosed with h pyroli but I was having pain in my liver area, was losing weight so I ask for a referral to liver unit. They check me over with a fibro scan of 3.8 and blood tests and reassured me everything was OK but referred me to gastro for the infection in my stomach.

The gastro unit have since stated I have inflammation in my terminal ileum but I still have pain in liver area (constant bubbling in back) and the blotching. Have spoken with the gastro consultant who thinks its nothing to do with the inflammation in my bowel.

I never had blotchy hands before.

Blotchy hands can be just weather related, I have them at the moment and as far as I know have no liver issue (it's my hubby who has cirrhosis and he does have typical liver related palmar erythmia and his hands are really quite red).

I do think you are looking into things perhaps a little too much, as far as current tests go (and you have had the best) you don't have a liver issue.

Does the palm of my hand look normal or should I get it looked at. It doesn't look right to me?

As British Liver Trust admin has said to the previous poster on this thread "No one on the forum will be able to provide the medical reassurance that you are seeking. If you have new symptoms that you are worried about, please do see your GP."

Photographs of body parts for comment is against forum guidelines because they reproduce so poorly on screen and none of us are qualified to offer comment based on a photograph. The only way for you to get clarification as to whether your hand is normal or not is to see a GP for examination and tests if necessary.

I wasn't asking for a diagnosis! I was only asking if it looked abnormal
