Hey went for an ultrasound mainly on my gallbladder but when I mentioned I drank a lot the liver was a priority to be checked too. Went today and the lady said all looked fine including kidneys and nothing concerning. I’ll receive my results in 7-10 days. Do I take it as it’s all fine or worry my results will say differently? She advised I get my GP to maybe check my stomach or bowel. Could she have seen anything on them in the ultrasound? I’m confused.

Liver ultrasound, am I okay then?
Hi Bob 🙂
( Perhaps Trust admin can give you a bit more advice, as we can not say Yay or Nay for obvious reasons )
Personally I think that your GP is your first port of call. If you make an appointment with them tomorrow (UK?) for a week or so, they should have some kind of results by then.
By the sounds of it, I would just sit tight until you see your Doctor.
Try not to worry. I would be chuffed as nuts if I was told this.
Hopefully there will be some more replies to put you at ease a bit more.
Stay safe, take GOOD CARE and ring your GP. 🤗
Good luck, fingers crossed you will get some professional answers soon.
Ps. Don't Dr Google owt, he/she will have you thinking you are needing ectoplasm or something weird!
⭐ Always Keep Smiling⭐ 😃 ⭐ stay healthy.
Take good care 🙂

Same as me, she said all was fine apart from I have gallstones and Hemangioma. Consultant secretary said that if there is no a mention of fatty liver or anything concerning on letter then the scan didn’t show it...letter came though and it just said gallstones and Hemangioma same as the scanner told me.
Maybe if you went for the ultrasound for pain and they couldn’t see anything wrong then they would want to check the rest to make sure pain isn’t being referred from elsewhere.
You got lucky you didn’t have gallstones! I’m having to have an op 😬...help me lol
In my experience with ultrasound scans the operator is likely to write up the report (this is very different from say MRI scans, where the images are reviewed later). So, I would be surprised if the results were very different from what you were told.
However, clearly something isn't right, so I would plead with you to give up the alcohol, at least until you know what's going on. If you have a clear ultrasound report then that's great news, but it might not be the whole picture (pardon the pun!) You can only improve the situation by laying off the booze, cleaning up diet and adding in exercise.
Hope you get more good news soon.
Paul
Thank you Paul kji378 I’m still going to avoid the alcohol and make better lifestyle changes. If it is the stomach then it’s probably also been aggravated by the alcohol. I’m definitely going to have the dr investigate and take it further. Here’s hoping it’s something easily sorted and I’ve had my big fright now so now to start making better choices for my health and well-being.
I have also have gallstones Bob, (amongst other things) however they will not operate on me as I am in the high risk category . It's boring so I'll keep it short. I am in the 30% mortality rate ( I think I've got that right) anyway, in 'normal' people I was told it was a 0.3% risk so there is a bit of a difference. It is more common in women than men. Can be lived with, some have no symptoms.
I didn't want to comment at first about alcohol, as you didn't say how much "a lot" is. But as above, deffo calm the drink down. Not a nice road to end up on once it's got its claws in.
Again, just try to eat healthily and be sensible. Yawn, but believe me, you don't want anything creeping up on you!
~ then before you know it... Just Don't!! 😨
All the best, fingers crossed for you. Hopefully good news for you soon.
Take care, may the force be with you! 😁
Hi Bob323
I saw you had posted previously about drinking, lockdown, depression after 1st child and that you are still young.
Pleeeease..ask for help if you are still drinking. It is soo easy to suppress. I know times are hard with appointments, as the NHS are at tipping point ~ ⭐GOD BLESS YOU NHS⭐ but perhaps a female GP might be better for you.
Give it a thought. There are lots of people in similar circumstances and I highly recommend just asking your GP for the option of being able to 'talk' to a professional. You're not the 1st and won't be the last! So seek help if you even have a smidgen of worry. 💕👍
Take care 🤗
