Just a quick question.. my partner said she accidentally threw away my QE appointment letter for September.. Would I still be able attend my appointment? As I remember there being machines you have to scan the barcode on the letter?
Kicking myself..
Cheers!

Telephone and request another letter, you've got plenty of time but do it sooner rather than later.
For future reference and maybe a bit of advice, copy your letters - keep a file for originals and take the copy with you - I keep hubbies (to come) appointments in a plastic file that we take with us to appointments together with the notebook detailing - what happens at every appointment and appointment prep i.e. list of current meds, list of any symptoms, list of questions we want to ask.
If you ever need to claim any benefits for your condition it really helps to have all the original appointment letters to support your claims and I keep all these in a ringbinder with GP appointments & results, Edinburgh appointments & any results, reports etc. and local consultant appointments and reports filed in different sections. Maybe a bit anal but it has helped when completing and submitting claims and keeping a record of everything.
I started off with good intentions but then gradually I started getting a bit slack with it , to the point I wasn't able to find anything!! I've now sorted everything out again!! Yes, it is so much easier!!! 👍❤️🌈🤗💜
Like you I am extremely organised - just for that 🙊
I have one of those plastic personal files with different compartments. One has results, another prescriptions, another appointment letters etc. I also have my international medical insurance in there. I’m going to take daughter and b/f back to Germany on Monday. I just pick up the file and go!
Yes, you can always just go to the reception desk located near to those machines at the top of the corridor that leads down to area 4. Just give them your details and they'll book you in there instead.
