Can anyone offer advice on hair loss. My wife has ARLD. Recovery seemed to be going well. Completely sober since December but in last 3 weeks she has experienced noticeable hair loss. Is this common and is there anything she can do?

Hi,
Hair loss can sometimes be associated with liver disease but there can be many other reasons.
We would suggest your wife report this to her doctors so they can examine her and possibly order some blood tests.

Same here noticeably thinner and I saw it coming out. Doc said normal doesn't feel it. Also doesn't really grow. Hairdresser said use a protein shampoo. Wee bit better now but still very thin. Understand it us natural for the body to put all its resources in to getting better and hair and bails come last. Hope she feels better soon
