Well since my we flare up episode at the end of January /early February causing a temperature of 38.8 to 39.2 for 4 days with no other symptoms at the time, I've since had a horrid throat ..sores up nose and a weird cough most mornings plus every night and morning I have this odd niggle in my right lung when breathing which I'm hoping is still part of the healing process from my nasty bike fall I had almost 4 weeks ago!
Since the fall and the lock down I've been struggling to focus on my healthy eating plan, I'm eating rubbish ...chocolate crisps and baking naughty foods! Am I the only one here who's losing momentum?
Today for the 5th or 6th time I,'ve decided to kick my butt and jump onto my hubbies wii bike and watch these two beautiful squirrels playing in my garden whilst debating on whether to call my GP for advice re niggle lung discomfort and whether I still need to go for my routine LFT blood tests or not as I'm only feeling about 80 per cent or just stay stump...emmmm decision...maybe best to avoid the hospital ....
Good morning hun, sorry I haven't been on but I haven't been well, had the milder coronavirus...I am pleased to announce that you are not on your own with the baking naughty things.....I think this lockdown is getting to all of us.
I have recieved my you will stay home and shield letter...3 weeks too late lol, I had this thing for about 4 weeks. I feel better now except for my stomach but, I have had some pretty strong antibiotics and these are horrible for the gut.
I do hope that we are all ok and not going too stir crazy....
I have to be honest, I vaguely remember it geing this quiet when I was a kid but we're talking 60s and early 70s. I was up early this morning with my pooch , she just wanted out in the garden at 4am. She didn't want to come in so I grabbed a coffee and sat outside. The dawn chorus and watching the sun rise was really beautiful. So quiet we can actually hear the birds sing.
I have an allotment and I have noticed more wild life than ever....it goes to show just how much people take for granted our beautiful Earth..
Sorry to read you've had this awful virus and to be honest I've been wondering whether that's what I had but I guess until we're all tested I'll never know.
Yes this baking thing is bad but it does keep me busy for an hour πhowever I do try sharing some of it with my odd neighbours. However flour's now getting short so maybe a blessing ...no more freshly made pancakes with blackcurrant filling /cream π
Oh well I'm off for a walk then more cycling and chopping up tree branches.
Take care Alley plus I'd like to know more about your home grown veg etc ....keep safe Trish x
Love the picture....ππ. It's very easy to slip into lax ways, when nothing seems urgent anymore. I am normally lazy anyway, so it's business a usual for me π€£π€£
My husband had a fall at work (he's a postman), he slipped on a path and landed oddly on a low wall. He hurt his ribs and said it was painful to breath for weeks, by about week 9 he thought he'd be stuck with it forever. Luckily by 12 weeks it had resolved. I think rib injuries can take a really long time, and if you broke something or even just bruised it, it could cause you breathing discomfort for some time.
If you are able to exercise, which would require deeper breathing, then that's a good sign.
Regarding your blood test, I always think with any test, is the result going to make a difference to my treatment?? If they are just watching results over a number of months, then doing them in a month's time, when things might be safer, might make sense?? Ask what your GP thinks... Risk v benefit!
Your so right about risk against benefit re blood tests, however my medication for Esophagus flare ups seems to be holding up ok as long as I don't miss taking it!
Re the breathening side of things... that I too hope will ease in time. However I'm currently taking a few spare antibiotics for a recurring water infection which has kicked in .. grrr.... I agree the discomfort could still be to do with my stupid fall as I still cannot kneel on my shin! Will I ever learn and act my age you maybe asking... ......NEVER I guess ...lol
Hello there . I feel very fortunate to be a part of this forum. In early January I also had very high temperature for over 2 weeks. I felt energy less and had a headache and abdominal pain. My blood tests showed extremely high L F T s. I also had a cough which I thought was because I gave up smoking my 2 cigarette a day! I have been under consultant but he has put this down to a virus . I am now wondering if it was THE virus. Because it was early January it wasnt so highly in the news. I wanted to reply to you about this because research has apparently shown Corona virus patients to have elevated LFTs . same as yourself I am due another LFT to be done at blood centre but I am going to delay it for at least another month. My thinking was that even if it wasnt a good result , I cant change much at the moment. So I am trying to be healthy with home cooking and baking. Having fruit and making lemon and ginger drink etc. Just keeping safe hopefully. I really wish you well and hope you feel better today. X I do have a breathing exercise...take a breath in and hold for 5. Do this 5 times and on the final breath out cough to expel the air x good luck x
I too gained since lock down but it's still very hard to keep focused every day! Up and down seems to spring to mind plus I'm always thinking days ahead what to prepare and cook!
I know, I go to bed dreaming of what I can make tomorrow. But I need to get back to what I had lost, cause I did so well and Iβm not prepared to stay weighty anymore. I got down to 11 stone after 20 years being lots more than that. I felt really good, better mood, better energy and a feeling of being in control. Gotta try
