yesterday i noticed this new spot on my left hand. You can't see it in the photo, but if i use a flash light, you can barely see very small veins coming from the red spot in the middle. it is very small, beneath 2mm. as i am kind of a drinker, i sure am concerned about liver disease. i don't have any other symptoms and this spot is the only one.

In reply to Chriss884 not original poser - it's Spider Angioma that sometimes happen with cirrhosis. This from the BLT page in Early Symptoms of cirrhosis section of the cirrhosis page "spider-like small blood capillaries on the skin above waist level (spider angiomas)"

In the meantime, for more information regarding liver disease, you may wish to visit the British Liver Trust website:
If you are concerned about your liver as you are "a bit of a drinker" wouldn't it be wise to stop drinking then you wouldn't have to worry about your liver or little red spots appearing? Alcohol can also cause paranoia
