Hi , does anyone know if theres anything that will reduce level of bilirubin. My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis 3 years ago and was doing really well with test results etc but last blood test shows bilirubin is raised again. Hes not feeling too good either but wont go to GP.! Thanks.

Best he can do is drink plenty of water every day.

Hi Kat,

I wish I knew the answer as I'm exactly the same, people say drink plenty of water and I do, 3 litres a day without fail for months, and still my bilirubin levels are raised.

Thankfully the jaundice has gone but I'm miffed as to why levels are still high as I feel fine. Will ask consultant when I see her next time and post what information I get back on here, but each person is different obviously. All the best 👍

Thanks so much. I worry all the time and Im always looking for answers. My hudbands levels went down now raised again and I can see his eyes are a bit yellow. He doesn't want to go to doctor but who knows if he'd get an appointment with this virus being around.X
