Quick question: is it “normal” to develop sudden onset stabbing pain, so intense but quickly over, enough to cause you to gasp? I get a fairly constant feeling of extreme tightness and unpleasant sensation in this area pretty much 24/7 but last few days I’ve had sporadic light bolts of screaming pain which I’ve not had before.
Anyone else had this?

Evening. I've been in hospital several times in the last 12 months because of severe stomach cramps in the upper right side of my stomach.
At 1st they said it was the Gallbladder causing the problem. But then after having different kind of Scans they told me that I had an Enlarged Liver, Blocked Bile Duct, Cyst on the Pancreas and Gallstones. Then 2 months ago I was told that my Liver had gone down and my Bile Duct was okay. I thought Whoopi.
But the day after Boxing Day i was taken back into hospital again. They did some more Scans and Lo and Behold they told me that, I still have the Cyst on the Pancreas, but my Bile Duct is Blocked.
They also found that I have Cysts in the Kidney and Cysts in my Liver. 😰😫😪
I was allowed home on New Year's Eve, but i have to go for a Pre Admission Appointment on January 16th at Nevill Hall Hospital. If I pass the assessment the operation will be done at the Royal Gwent Hospital. I know my Gallbladder has to come out, but they haven't told me anything else just yet. ???.
I have been in absolute agony, im having to take deep breaths to cope with the pain because they are so intense.
The pain is from just under my ribs on the right side of my stomach..But it's spreading right across my stomach and even in my back. 😭😭
I thought I should tell you everything because I think that you should get it checked out. Im not a Doctor, but Pain is Pain 😪and the sooner its sorted out the better. Hope you feel better soon🤭.
I feel you are describing me apart from my other conditions. Mine has gone from front to back and also shoulder for ages but is now going across my stomach. This pain is worse than I've had before. Everyone take care Lynne
Morning Lynne, i also have pain right through to my back. Also have pain in back of right shoulder.
When I told my Consultant about the pain in my right shoulder, he told me that you can get pain there as well if you have Gallbladder problems. .
Hubby wanted to ring for Ambulance last night but I wouldn't let him.
If pain keeps up like this today i think I'll ask him to ring one for me..
Do you still have your Gallbladder Lynne ???. Because perhaps that's what's causing your pain.
The past few days the only thing that i have ate is a couple of Jacob's Cream Crackers.I can suck a couple of broken up pieces and then I can swallow them. I haven't been able to eat anything else. I just feel so nauseous all the time. Gotta go Lynne.
Hi this is the exact pain I had which led me to first go to the doctors , it had been going on for weeks then I had a real bad pain couldn’t walk , I was at work and my manager took me to the doctors .. this led to me seeing specialist and leading to a biopsy after bloods showed liver problems .. diagnosis pbc ... I can honestly say never felt pain like it other than being in labour lol . Hope they get it sorted for you .
