Are my eyes yellow? Or is it just me feeling so?

My urine isn't very dark, but i feel very nauseous occasionally which fades aways a little while later but again returns after some time, sometimes days. I am a 16 yr old, no history of smoking or drinking. Recently had a seizure onset. On medications for seizures. But no abnormalities in the tests which were done during the treatment of seizure. So what do i do?

Hi Plumeria,

I see pale pink, darker pink and white.

I can assure you that when I was slightly jaundiced the whites of my eyes were a definite yellow.

I wouldn't have had to ask anyone else if they were yellow as it was so obvious.

If you are worried ask your doctor to take a look at them.

All the best.

Alf

Your eyes look entirely normal in that picture, however, not being qualified to say so and being banned by forum rules from commenting on photographs I would recommend that if you are concerned about your liver health you could ask your doctor for advice. A simple blood test for bilirubin levels would soon check for jaundice (which is the cause of yellowing of the eyes).

Not Yellow. No Googling! Go out and enjoy your life. 16 years old? You got the world by the shorthairs! 😀

Hi Plumeria

I agree with others, your eyes look fine!

Now go and drink lots of water and if after 24 to 48 hours your pee is still dark in colour then speak with your mum or dad about your concerns as your only 16!

Your dark pee could be down to simple dehydration, therefore I suggest you try drinking at least 2 to 3 litres or more of water first then re check the colour of your pee.

All the best for 2020 young one!

Hi,

Whilst we appreciate you are worried, no one on the forum is medically qualified to assess for jaundice.

Please see your own doctors for assessment of any symptoms.
