Hi, liver transplant 21/2 years ago I have bowel problems but I've always had ibs, always had massive bouts of diaharrea but now get extremely constipated due to mycophenolate, transplant consultant have me laxido to help. Talk to your doctors about it

Yes. It is really difficult to manage for many reasons and has a big effect on my life. It will be different for everyone, but if there is nothing else going on that needs attention
diet, (what you can tolerate foodwise), hydration, (as much as your body needs), exercise (regularly, as much as is safe for you) and all three routinely to help you into a regular habit of 'elimination'.
But talk to your doctor about it so that you have help for the times that you are out of routine. Even knowing that you have a remedy makes it easier. That's important because stressing about it makes it much worse - your body needs to relax to do its thing! Good luck with it
