Any ideas?

Hi I just have to ask about this because I have no idea.

For the past two days, I am quite sleepy, my head feels quite thick/heavy. I am so slow its unbelievable. My walking is slow, my speech slurs after slightly moving around for example walking to the shop and back which is only a three minute walk from my home.

I am bloated in my abdomen, my heart is beating just a little bit fast, not too much but noticeable. I had the same thing three weeks ago. Just a bit concerned and thank goodness for spell check and predictive text lolx

I am also nauseous and unable to eat .

Any ideas please x

Hi, I have AIH and PBC overlap, diagnosed 2012. This bloating and head thing is something new it happened before about 3 weeks ago.

I have been unwell of late with several flares. My medication was changed in August from mercaptopurin and prednisolone, to mycophenolate and budesonide. I also take urso. The new medication, in particular the mycophenolate, has caused me nothing but unwanted side effects. I know it's this medication because it caused problems before I started the budesonide.

Not sure what this is it's just not right. I have contacted consultant secretary and just waiting for them to get back to me.

I just don't like how it is made me feel. I did go to see my gp last time but she didn't quite know or understand what it was.

Confused and concerned but I will get answers tomorrow .

Thanks for your reply.

Good afternoon Alley27,

I had commented on your previous post prior to reading this one.

Please seek medical attention by either contacting your GP or calling 111.

Your symptoms should not be ignored.

Hi and thank you for your replies. I have spoken to my consultant today and he reckons it's a mild encephalopathy. I have been told as emergency measure to buy lactulose from chemist. He spoke to my gp and I have an appointment with my gp tomorrow.

I have got to stay in and rest and make sure I have someone with me.

I am still a bit off but better than yesterday, but this can change, as we all know.

I have had difficulty going to the loo since they put me on mycophenolate, and we think this is possibly why things are happening as they are. I had none of this when I was taking mercaptopurin.

I am 7 years in though so is it possible that things are changing....wouldn't mind but I don't drink at all I don't smoke. I have been on steroids for 6 months now, and I have also gained weight because of this si, if a liver transplant is needed I dont think I would be considered.

Do any of you know what I should and shouldn't be eating. I eat fruit and veg, have wholegrain bread and fresh meat, do I have no ideas. I have considered gluten free or dairy free, and to be honest the lacto free milk, settles easily but standard milk does not. I eat home made live yogurt, I have the easi yo maker so nothing really.

I just am so fed up of feeling unwell. This past 6 months have been horrendous but I am here and I am fighting. I just would like to feel well, as we all do.

Thank you again xx
