Oh my dear Maxey, I am so sorry truly.

All the same I have to say you know you must be so terribly close now.

I do know exactly how hard this is for you. Your particular roller coaster is gathering speed. You will very soon be Re born I am sure.

I hope you sleep well you must be exhausted. Rest well gather your strength. We regroup and start again.

I can't even begin to imagine how you are coping with this. You poor thing. So unlucky. It's so tiring, just the journey and anxious waiting is exhausting.

I think of it like climbing a mountain, every step is getting you closer to the top, it gets harder as you climb, remind yourself how far you've come, and keep looking forward.

My thoughts are with you, and I'm wishing you luck for next time.

Hope you have a comfortable sleep.

Oh bugger it Maxey, not again. Still, it's better to wait for a perfect healthy liver, and at least you are definitely on the top of the list, so I pray your wait for the right one will not be too long. Try and keep your spirits up, it WILL happen for you.

Maxey, you mention in your post about getting the train home. Are you quite close to the hospital?? I ask because it has been a topic of conversation about TP coordinators sorting hospital transport home after failed calls. Last Sunday I was asked if we could make our own way back, from London to Somerset. I made it clear we did not have the funds for the train (which can be £100+each) also we live no where near a train station, so would have to get a lift or taxi at more than £30. A coach which goes to our town would take 5 hours and would not have left for 4hrs after we left hospital, also with a cost of £80 for us both Inc tube fair. That would have involved walks, buses, tube train, coach. I am considered relatively well, but I'm easily fatigued and have pains and itching. The last thing I would have wanted would have been to battle public transport.

Luckily my insistence paid off and a non urgent ambulance car was provided. I'm interested to hear of others experiences. I think they have an obligation to return you to your home after, often sleepless nights full of stress etc.

I hope you've caught up on your sleep.

Hi Wass

I live just outside Canterbury in Kent. Under blues and twos it takes the ambulance around an hour . I have been offered hospital transport each time but declined due to the lengthy wait and got the train home which is £29

So logistically speaking I am quite fortunate. Just had another little sleep which was nice.

I think we've been lucky, as in both cases we didn't wait too long for the transport. We were told up to 1 hour, but they arrived quicker.

Let's hope neither of us have to be getting the failed call transport again (especially you being 3 ahead of me).

Thinking of you, and keeping everything crossed.

Take care x x x
