Assessment
Oh my what a shame 👎🏻. Did they say why (of course you don’t have to say)?
I was at QEHB and they told me that I had to have the myocardial perfusion imaging test. So I hope they will say the same to you.
Good luck with the cardiologist’s decision.
Angus
The cardiologist will decide if I need the test , if not, I will go on the list.
If I need the test, I will have it done and if I pass I will go on the list.coordinator did say what the test was but had so much going through my head..I forgot
So it’s not that you haven’t been successful! Either no test required = on List, or myocardial test required and pass = on List.
Sounds exactly what happened to me and alfredthegreat. So I certainly wouldn’t be downhearted at this stage!
Angus
Thanks...so much goes through your head doesn't it ?
Oh yes it really does! I remember how mega disappointed I was not to be told yes at the end of the Assessment ☹️👎🏻.
I can remember waiting for a phone call for the official confirmation and during that time I was convinced that the answer would be no, even though a hospital registrar had given me a large hint that I would get on the list. Then after the confirmation call I was told that the paperwork would be posted to me and that when they received my filled in forms with signature then I would be officially on the list. The paperwork took a whole week to arrive ( negative thoughts going through my mind with every extra day). When I received it I filled it in and posted it back the same day by registered post because I was convinced that the paperwork might go astray in the post So I absolutely understand you saying that so much goes through your head. It's a very stressful time. Hope you find out about whether you will have the test or not very soon and I hope that everything turns out in your favour. All the very best. Alf
Hi Red, so sorry to hear of your problem. I will keep everything crossed, that cardio pass you to be listed🤞🤞🤞.

Hi red65, it’s natural to be frantic. However the QE take their time and make sure that they help your system to be really well, = successful transplant. My partner (aged 53) was listed last sept after what was an agonising 12 weeks from the first assessment clinic and has been off the list during that time for 5 months, 3 separate suspensions, as he had several infections including a heart infection and one superbug picked up from the hospital during an ascites drain. However he is now the most well he has been in 18 months and has been on the list again since May and we wait. My advice is it will be slow when all you want is speed, however you are in safe hands. Eat as well as you can and exercise as you can to help your system stay strong. You will get there.
