Jaundiced again...

I am Decompensated, MELD 18, Child-Pugh C. I stopped drinking last year after diagnosis but in the last 3 weeks my jaundice has reappeared, any thoughts? I am seeing my Consultant on Tuesday but am anxious now....

Hi Snorkers. It's good that you are seeing your consultant on Tues. He will no doubt order tests and scans for you (unless you have already had them in preparation for the appointment) so they will know exactly what's going on. In the meantime if I were you I would eat super healthy and drink plenty of water but I'm sure that you will already be doing that. Wishing you all the very best. Alf

Thank you - diet is good, water always!

Fingers crossed... just had my bloods done at the GP and results tomorrow, last week my Platelets were down at 38, never been that low before...

Have you been put forward for transplant assessment? If not I would ask about it on Tuesday.
