Hi dontbelieveit. I know that sometimes inflammation can cause a dilation in the bile duct, also gallstones can cause it. These are just a couple of many causes so hopefully someone will answer with more knowledge on the subject. Your doctor or specialist would be the best people to ask. If they have received your results then they will probably know the cause. Best wishes Alf.
