Do I think it’s ok as she’s said it is or do I look further???? P.s this is the GP whom never sent me for the scan or wouldn’t for over 8 months!! I had to see someone else!!!
Makes me cross that actually it’s not ok and if I wasn’t medically trained she would have allowed me to continue with the life I was living!!!!
Thank u everyone xxx

Your report indicates that you have mild fatty liver & mild steatosis or NASH but nothing obviously structurally wrong. Whether you want to accept this or push for further investigation is up to you.
Together with the last two ultrasounds I had I also had elastography (which is basically the same as a FibroScan) which gave a more complete picture than having just an ultrasound like you had. After nothing was found wrong I'm continuing to live as healthy a lifestyle as I can by following a healthy diet, exercising regularly, avoiding liver stressors like alcohol & drugs & getting sufficient rest.
My next blood test is due in a month & I'm hoping that all values will be normal. If the test shows my platelet count as marginal like recent platelet counts have been & ALT very slightly raised seeking further investigation may not be worth it. The gastroenterologist I saw is likely to offer to do a biopsy but I'm not convinced that it would be worth it given that all tests I've had so far (two ultrasounds & elastography scans & an MRI) found no problem with my liver. Unless I start to feel worse I'll probably continue to live as healthy a lifestyle as possible & see how things go.
Apart from maybe getting a FibroScan (which your doctor may not want to send you for) to compliment the ultrasound you've had I see your choices as similar to mine. Do you keep pushing for more investigations or decide to continue to follow a healthy lifestyle (which you'll have to do anyway regardless) & see if giving your liver time to repair itself results in you feeling better?
