I'm supposed to be having my pip assessment at home in the morning. I say supposed as last time it was cancelled half an hour before the assessor was due to arrive. I'm not feeling as stressed as last time, in part I think because I don't think it will happen. Wish me luck folks 😁 Deb

Hi

Wishing the all the very best of luck. I really hope it goes well for you. If you need to send a message during the night you can message me. I will help you all I can. Just remember that they might ask you the same question a different way round to see if you give them the same answer. Please let us know how you go on. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

If you dont get a decent sleep tonight, it may help you? I know how rough I look if I dont get enough sleep, see it as a helping hand for in the morning. Ensure they realise that you cannot take painkillers too, this causes you constant pain, both acute and chronic. x

Good luch Debs. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hidden conditions are hell tp prove, but its noticeable that those who often 'win' dont look well groomed . Dont bother brushing your hair and be in scruffy PJ's. Hope your daughter will be there too. Its awful what so many genuine people have to go through, My brother was kept waiting for an hour and then had to walk down a very long corridor. Ironically this put him severe pain which made him angry. He was granted PIP . He is normally very placid but pain often removes this. Why a consultants word isnt good enough to get PIP automatically is beyond comprehension! The non medics know nothing, Go get em Deb, xx

Hi

I know what you mean. I'd been waiting all afternoon for an assessment to be told you have got to come back!! If we cancelled or were late we'd have had a black mark against our name!! Take care Lynne

Make it worse than it is tell them you can only walk short distances need help cooking

If you do get it you can get a car with everything paid but you lose some or all of your PIP money

Hi

How did your assessment go? Did you say your daughter was going with you. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Thanks for all your good wishes. The assessor was a paramedic and was lovely...whether this will be the case when she submits her report remains to be seen. My sister was here with me and made a couple of comments which I'd forgotten to mention. I keep thinking of things i should have said but it's done now. I should hear back in 4 weeks or so but I will appeal if necessary. Debx

Hope it all goes ok for you Debs and no having to mess with appeals. It's stressful enough without it being a long drawn out affair! Fingers crossed. Alf
