Good news...I’m the next Dr Who!

Dear all, for those of you who have followed and replied to my posts when I have been terrified and stressed out, I finally have an update and it’s good news. After waiting for months I finally saw a consultant yesterday who told me that due to my lifestyle changes and resulting weight loss, my liver is regenerating and the fat reversible. He performed a fibroscan (I won’t post the results) and I have moderate fibrosis but at the healthier end if that makes sense. Apparently when I was referred I was in the red zone but the changes I made have worked. The best thing I had was copies of my results from my Doctor which he read and was amazed at how well I had improved. I was virtually in tears at the news as I had convinced myself that I had done serious damage that I wouldn't be able to reverse. He asked me how I had done it and I told him, I also explained that honestly, if I hadn’t had that shock from the initial blood tests that I would probably still be eating unhealthily and I would have been in serious trouble now. I have to have more blood tests in a few months time then depending on the results see him in a year. My target is to get into the normal range and get a really low score which he said is completely achievable. I know I am very lucky having read posts on this forum.

I feel I have been given a second chance at life and am not going to waste it. I am carrying on my exercise and lifestyle changes with renewed vigour and never going back to the way I was.

Finally to this forum and you lovely people. You reassured and supported me when I needed help and got myself in a right state, several times!! I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to respond and share your experiences it really is very much appreciated!

I have been told it could take 1-2 years to fully reverse the fat, so now no more google for me, I know whatI have to do and how to do it and you lovely lot are my motivation to do it!

So, off to my TARDIS now to finish my regeneration!

Thank you so much again☀️☀️☀️☀️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Alex,

Thanks for a brilliant post to remind, reassure and encourage people who despair and believe they cant do anything about a diagnosed liver problem.
