Hi, was diagnosed with cirrhosis over a year ago and doing all I can to stay healthy. Sometimes when I bend down I feel as if my liver moves?? It's the strangest feeling. I think I've read about the liver going into cramps? Anyone had this?

Movement in my stomach??
Hi. I get cramps in my right hand rib cage with certain movements, particularly when I try to twist round like you would in a car. I haven't asked about it because I've thought it more to do with the muscles that might be under strain from an enlarged liver. I am certainly aware of my liver in a way I wasn't when it was healthy. It feels very strange at times. I hope this helps.

Coralsun and Mags,
Both of you are not losing your minds it is a real thing we feel with liver disease. I wouldnt worry about googling it as nothing will likely come up. It's one of those things that a doctor will probably look at you crooked for mentioning as it's not a medically explained thing. It's one of those you only feel it if you have it kinda thing. I get it on my right and left as my spleen is also enlarged. I think with enlargement it's actually just the fact that It is shifting to adjust itself for the space. To me it almost feels as if it is rubbing my ribs when I move certain ways. Unless its causing pain I wouldnt think to worry to much about it. We are also 200% more aware of our livers now than we were before. Most people who dont have liver issues surprisingly dont even know where their liver is.
😊
