sorry for not posting sooner, my brother was taken to theatre at 430 am. Just had an update and op has went well, he will be out of theatre in an hour. I'm still in shock at how fast things have moved. Thank you so much everyone for your replies and good luck wishes x

hope so, thank you so much. I forget sometimes how far he has come, from the varises bursting, getting tips, all the HE episodes and ascites but throughout it all he has been positive whilst as the time has went on I have started to doubt it ever happening
Thanks for taking the time to reply when I know you must be quite overwhelmed your brother is lucky to have you, take care and I hope you have a great sleep tonight 🌸💕
thank you, hope your husband is doing well after his transplant. it was one of your posts that made us realise we didn't actually know his own blood group
AWESOME!!!! How wonderful you made my day. Stay strong, I know you must be tired now, I hope you will try to get some rest. Jaycee
we came home tonight at 9pm and will head back through to the ward tomorrow morning, I was exhausted today hadn't slept at all whilst he was in theatre
im heading to bed now and will try and get some sleep knowing he is in such good hands in ICU. hoping tomorrow he will be more aware and out of sedation
Managed to get a few hours sleep last night, today his breathing tube was removed, they said that the liver is working as it should and he has been transferred to high dependancy. He has a high temperature so getting antibiotics for that and started on anti rejection meds and steroids. Tomorrow they said he will be getting up to sit in a chair.
Sounds good they are determined to get them up & about quickly depending on any drains & stuff they might have. Hubby was up in a chair 2 days after transplant & he was brought a portable bicycle to pedal while he was sitting to build up his leg strength.
