Woo hoo, he’s in the ward

Hubby got moved out of high dependency and into the ward this afternoon. Hasn’t been without problems, but he has improved every day. Won’t be home for Xmas, but who knows, he might be home in time for new year bells!

I have to say the doctors and nurses are amazing in Edinburgh. They have beat ‘this all the way.

Have a fantastic Christmas every single one of you, and enjoy 2019 xxx

Brilliant, be prepared for emotional ups and downs, and he may have some weird nightmares to cope with, but as they say onwards and upwards!!!!

I know how you feel. My wife of 24 years was in icu from November 10th to 18th and finally came home 29th November.

Every day i feel so grateful to have her here. Twice i was told she wont make the next 24hours. She is doing well at the moment but we know with Nash problems will be ahead.

I well remember the elation of her coming off icu. So happy for you.

Hi Kate, decided today to alter his meds as kidneys not working properly, Edema in his legs are bad yet, but all that said there is improvement every day. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas x

Hi Agnes, think kidney problems are quite common, hopefully it will settle down, Christmas for me was as usual a noisy affair, I have 3 teenagers at home, did you manage to spend Christmas with your husband ? I hope you did 🙂 , I had a few ups n downs while in hospital was in for nearly 3 weeks, in the end I stopped thinking about going home and just accepted that it would happen when I was ready, take care my friend 🌼🌼

Yuiop profile image
Yuiop in reply toKate50

I did visit on Xmas day, free parking and free tv. They changed his med today to help his kidney function. If he gets home next week, do you think he will manage on his own if I go back to work, or do you think I should take more time off to assist him? I'm not too sure how he's going to be!

Kate50 profile image
Kate50 in reply toYuiop

I would wait and see for me personally I needed someone probably for about a week, some of that was down to confidence and also I was a bit unsteady on my feet, do you have anyone who can help out maybe xx

Yuiop profile image
Yuiop in reply toKate50

I only work part time, and. His legs are heavy with fluid. I may just take a bit more time off. Thanks Kate
