Thank you all for your lovely messages. Hubby has got 3 spinal fractures quite close together in the lumbar region. His bones are not so strong now after 5 years of cirrhosis and 4 of liver cancer that included 3 years of daily chemo tablets. He has been fitted with a spinal jacket, which he calls a straight jacket! He will have to wear it for at least 2 months and have regular Xrays. So thank goodness he will be home soon and have plenty of time on his hands to thank you all for your kind words and concern. I shall make sure he behaves himself and there are no more falls. I can't count the amount of times I've used the phrases "You're an accident waiting to happen!" and "You are your own worst enemy!" I'm sorely tempted to lock him in a wardrobe and feed him through the key hole and keep him safe.Ha,ha! Hugs to you all. The long suffering other half. -------- P.S. His new liver is working excellently!

Will that be the one that is made of Kevlar and looks like it belongs on the set of a S and M film? Wish you both my best.

Mark

He is just trying to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, LOL 😂

Seriously, I really hope he is feeling better. The wardrobe sounds like a great idea you could hang him in there by the spinal jacket.

Even more thrilled to hear his new liver is working excellently.

Don’t forget to take care of yourself Mrs Great !

Hi

I'm so pleased that he will be coming home. Yes, wardrobe is a great idea!! Tell him that he's got to behave himself. You take care too. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

I was picturing a sort of robocop terminator cyborg type of thing 😊 But snouties SandM version seems like a bit more fun. Especially if you are planning the role of dominatrix by locking him up in the closet .. Just make sure you give him the safe word. 😅Great damn news that the new liver is fully up to expectation! After many years of his struggles it excites me to hear that he has finally been able to throw that old liver that's been keeping him down in the garbage! Just needs to get that back healed and perhaps the kiddie pool idea I had mentioned may not be a horrible thought in the interim lol.. Onward and upward!!

That's brilliant news. You've made me feel tempted to shut pops Dylan (hubby) in the wardrobe just to have a bit of peace and quiet. For some reason he can't close a wardrobe door properly or close a drawer for that matter. You'd think he'd be trained after 35 years of marriage. Wonderful news about his new liver too. Deb

Hi Mrs M or A

(Or perhaps as Snoutie says it should be Mrs S and M)

You know to me he never really explained all the issues he has had and for so long. That’s typical alfred 😁. Actually he may have told us in one of his short haha epistles and I just forget (HE you know 😁😁).

Seriously though that’s great news. Please tell him to put his typing mitts on, get his torch, and get posting from that wardrobe - you maybe, just maybe, give him the key to get out. No. Wait. Don’t. Then he won’t be able to hurt himself. Ah but do, please, give him a nice upright armchair and a potty, if you could be so kind 😁)

Please send him our Best Wishes.

3 spinal fractures yoiks!!

Hi long suffering other half,

Good to hear you both have some information on what is going on and some help to get better.

I know what you mean about putting him in a wardrobe LOL. Although my hubby is doing fairly well at this point and our visits to his liver doctor are to make sure if liver cancer begins it is found early.

Best wishes to you both,

Mary
