Signed off from haematologist today.

I went to see the haematologist I was originally referred to for anaemia back in February. It was she who recognised the spider naevie and felt my enlarged liver. She referred me for a liver scan and a gastroscopy and colonoscopy which confirmed the diagnosis of cirrhosis. She said that I should still be on iron which I stopped taking before the gastroscopy. I was given to understand that taking iron could make things worse for my liver.

She told me that she didn't need to see me again, so that's one consultant crossed off the list.
