I have had issues for YEARS, no one listened, long story. I am 35 and diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
I had a fibroscan today and my test result came back as 13.2
Has anyone had this score and what happened after? I have to take a letter to GP as it was a unit in town that I went to because NO ONE will listen to me and I got told to see a therapist as it's in my head.
Please help, I feel so lost and alone.

I hope your gp does listen to you. 13. 2 is above normal range. Don’t panic but tell him/her you are aware it’s high. Normal is lower than 7.5.
Good luck
Dear Laura
It sounds like you visited one of the the Trust's Love Your Liver roadshow events.
Please be aware that these events are not done under clinical conditions and do not give a diagnosis so please do go to your GP with the letter and results and ask them to do tests to assess your liver health (blood tests and possibly an ultrasound scan). Please do not panic, there may be a specific reason for that result but it does need further investigation. Unfortunately our helpline is closed for a couple of days but will be open again from 10am on Thursday so do feel free to call if you want to talk it through with a liver nurse - just call 0800 652 7330.
I contacted my GP, he did bloods & said its all ok blood wise & is refusing to do an ultrasound.
He said if my bloods are ok (i dont know the results, just they are ok!) that there is no point in doing an ultrasound & he didnt send me for the fibro scan so there is not anything he can do.
He told me to come back if i turn yellow.
Im pretty much at a loss as i called the helpline & was advised bloodwork can be fine but the GP informed me that if the bloods are ok then there is nothing more he will do.
I think we had a chat on the helpline... We would suggest that you consider re-visiting your GP and possibly seeing another one in the same practice to request further investigation. If you have problems with this then you could ask to speak with the practice manager.
Thank you very much. I am going to go in & request he refers me & sends me for an ultrasound if he doesnt im going to speak to the manager, although writing this I might call the manager first.
