As a newcomer I'm seeing abbreviations I don't understand. Help, what do NASH and NAFLD mean?

Hi
Your best bet is to look them both up on the internet. That way you will get the explanation.
Hi catcher, welcome to the forum and sorry for the abbreviations, I think we all find it easier to abbreviate than spell it all the time but I understand it's not always helpful for people new to all this. NAFLD- non alcoholic fatty liver disease, NASH- non alcoholic steatohepatitis. Basically, nash is fatty liver disease with inflammation and maybe some fibrosis(scarring) also so a little more progressed. Hope this helped. X
Thank you, I'm sure it won't be long before I'm abbreviating!
Hi,
Best thing you could do would be to go to the website of the British Liver Trust who host this forum.
There you will find up to date information and advice about anything to do with liver disease.

Now thats the kind of of support that we need on the forum 😊. Plain English, no around the houses, helpful and supportive. I like!
