Hi everyone my hubby is coming home today after having liver transplant. It’s been a rocky road as was sedated for two weeks the awake and talking a load of stuff which wasn’t real for about 5 days and now he’s mind is back to normal . Lost 2stone in weight but he said he feels good . So I’m off to pick him up at 5 and bring him home . Kids so excited 😆 xxx thank you all for all your kind words xxxxx

Really good news after what you have both been through, you must be over the moon. Xx
Fantastic news. Post op I convinced my family the hospital computer had been hacked and they were getting help from the CIA! It seemed true to me 🤣. You can have some really weird dreams. He wasn’t in for too long either. Make sure he takes it easy for a while then you and the kids can enjoy having a ‘new’ Dad. Btw I call my liver O’liver. He’s my new best friend.
Lots of love
Isabelle

Great New!
Best wishes on your new life! I had my transplant 13 years ago and remember the early days back home very well. I would suggest that after getting up and washing (where you can) and breakfast, go back to bed and rest/sleep and arise again for lunch. Follow this with another rest in bed and more sleep. I think that it is important to lie flat and not just rest in a chair. Another suggestion, which is quite common here in Spain, is to wear a mask whenever you are out in company, as in the early weeks you are very vulnerable to any infection. Only try a short walk round the block when you feel strong enough, and then build up slowly to longer walks. Good luck with your new member of the family!
Thank you so much for info . He’s quiet tired but doing great xxx
Great news. All the best for the future xx
