PAIN 10 MONTHS AFTER LIVER RESECTION????

Hello All, New to the group. I am 10 months post liver resection. I had several complications so I am still out of work although I am getting stronger. I am now experiencing pain lower right back pain around my kidney area. My incision starts below my right breast curves around and down to my right hip into my back. The hip and back area by scar is where I have the pain. Does anyone have similar issues and what was done (tests, diagnosis, treatments)?

Hello. I've had a couple of liver resections. The first one I was in almost constant pain for months afterwards.

It turned out to be adhesions from the surgery. Unfortunately the only thing that totally got rid of the pain was a second surgery where the surgeon spent a couple of hours sorting the adhesions out.

I did get some pain relief from using a TENS machine,which was prescribed by the pain clinic at the hospital.

Have you let them know you're still experiencing pain this long after?
