What do you think?

This site gives loads of sound advice from people who work in the industry or people who have been thru what you are going thru. As always, you should seek professional help also. Sometimes people on here might want just a chat or someone to share a joke with. Sometimes it does get a bit lonely when your suffering with an illness. Should we have an “off topic” board also? Somewhere you can forget about your troubles and just have a chin wag with other people in our situation. It would be very helpful if we could be part of a community of sorts but also give sound advice to people on this part of the forum. Feeling wanted is very good for the healing process also.

Anyway, that’s my 10 cents worth. What do others think?

Cheers,

Brett

Same here. It would be nice to get to know others on here without clogging up the main purpose of this site.

I think it’s a great idea as it would be an aside to the main site which is important

i can only echo what others have said, it seems there is a facebook page for any ailment you can think of, and ones you can't type in what you have and see what happens ?

Thanks for the feedback. I am sometimes on FB but not a really big fan of it. You don’t know what government is reading your posts lol. It would be nice if we could have an area on here to “let our hair down “ even though we are having a hard time with Mr Liver.

Is there a app/phone version of these kinds of forums? Just wondering if the phone can be used for these kinds of long postings? If anyone knows of a good one, please shout it out.

I should have added, that FB and WhatsApp are all terrible regarding data privacy so I was wondering about a proper serious anonymous one...

Hi Brett11,

Maybe people could put in their header something that lets others know that they are just looking to chat, or rant, or commiserate, or make jokes, or what ever.

I don't see anything wrong with it, but it might bother some.

True Mary but I didn’t want to clog up these posts . Some people might think it’s spam or a troll on here so they might not read important advice on this board.

Mary that was good one to confusing to many sites I was on hep c foram instead of liver before

HI Faithfull,

Just want to let you know that you are in my thoughts and I wish you the best.

Mary

Hi Brett11,

I do understand your point and you are probably right.

I'm not the one in our family with liver disease so I may have a different outlook than others. Also, I can enjoy the occasional off topic comments and jokes.

I'll have to keep track of this topic and see how others feel, and if a different "board" is set up I'll have to keep track of it.

Cheers Mary. That’s why it would be nice to have an “off topic” board on here so we don’t have to be members of loads of different boards.

Yes I know that one as I joined hep c foram thought I was on another hepatic liver site.

This is really true then I joined complex PTSD and another Adult ADHD and arthritis and got so confused I stay only on this as the mixed being not well all over its to much to take in .

Oh forgot the meningoma site ! All the best and more.!

take in
