I was order to retake my kidney blood test does it mean they found something serious?

Kidney blood test retake
Not necessarily. Abnormalities in isolated blood tests can be quite common. There are so many things that can cause that and many wont even need treatment.
If something is a bit out of kilter they'll usually ask you to repeat the test to ensure is wasn't just a one off spike, which is also pretty common, or to see if the result is getting better or worse. They can then decide if they need to do anything else. Even then, it may just be a case of giving advice or possibly treating a minor infection.
There can also be more benign reasons for the retest too. They may have forgot to test something or may not have had enough blood to complete all the tests they wanted to do.
When you go back for the retest just ask why its being done. You should also be able to obtain the results too when they are available. If they need to do anything else they will let you know when they get the results back anyway. But there's no harm in asking.
Something was probably flagged, the doctor probably wants to see if its a trend or just a bad result. The kidney labs are funny because they are highly dependent on if you ate lots of meat, protein or dehydrated. Many people including myself are chronically dehydrated without really knowing it. Not being hydrated properly will make kidney labs look a lot worse than the condition that they are really in. Also, its estimated that eGRF will drop a point each year. Liver will last you forever, kidneys need love to stay healthy all of your life.
