You are quite right to concerned about the use of paracetamol and its affect on the liver.
If you keep to the dose recommended on the packet or leaflet you will not normally have any problems.
However, it is possible to accidentally take more than is safe by not recognising that paracetamol is contained in various flu and cold remedies and then taking paracetamol alongside these remedies.
As Jim says, some meds can have an impact on your liver. However, do also be aware that abnormal LFTs are quite a common finding when GPs do blood tests. Lots of infections can have an impact on the liver hence the abnormal results. So, your abnormal LFT results may also be caused by the thing giving you the fever in the first place.
