Fibroscan vs ultrasound: Hello my... - British Liver Trust
Fibroscan vs ultrasound
your need to check ALT AFP SGOT AP pleas do this chech up.
Fibroscan has a 95% confidence interval. However, inflammation can and will increase a KPA score. I'd imagine with that fibroscan score, a doctor would want to pursue further testing. Ultrasound are very good at picking up hepatic steatosis. As many hepatologist say, they aren't the most reliable test out there for cirrhosis, but normally are the first of the series of tests. You need to look at ALT, AST and GGT to see if inflammation may be a factor. You definitely need more clarification with a 20. 9 fibroscan.
Hello all my ALT,SGOT is increasrd by 1 and 2 unit not very high..Endoscopy says Esophagus normal,Stomach-edema,Erythema over antrum,Duodenum- Normal, Hpylori normal. Diagnosis-Antral gastritis..plz advise your views
Liver issues can cause gastritis. I'd imagine your doctor may have to go the biopsy route if nothing else is coming back conclusive. SGOT can come from many places, but ALT is majorly found in the liver.
Oh OK, I must have misread, I thought you were H-pylori negative. In that case it sounds like a possibility. After getting rid of the H-pylori you want to make sure everything starts to start trending downward.
My labs values are not high but my biopsy showed cirrhosis and just had follow up MRI Elastography shows Fibrosis
