Just a quick update. We had a great 5 days in North Devon. We stayed in a hotel. Some rain, some sunshine. The food was gorgeous but I was really proud of myself, I ate much smaller portions. I have to thank the cold bug I had for that, I couldn't eat much for two weeks before the holiday and although I was a lot better I still wasn't eating too much. It meant I only put on a pound maximum and I'm still under 10 stone. I will be honest I sobbed over my won't eat power when it came to a couple of puddings. The hotel was great giving me non alcoholic versions of their sorbets.
Now it's back to the Christmas tidy up and shopping. I'm hoping I can still be good with my eating and not eat too many naughty things.
Wishing everyone a happy, prosperous, and above all healthy Christmas and may all things good follow for many years to come.

Thanks everyone. Been busy trying to get ready for Christmas. Trying to be good buying a few naughty items to eat but not too much. My diet is hopefully changing for the better. I found myself buying mini mince pies and thinking have I got enough fruit. My friends will think the real gill has been abducted by aliens.
I bought some booze for others and some alcohol free but I find I don't even drink much alcohol free as it is loaded with sugar.
Thank you. Our sons cooked Christmas dinner which was lovely. Pain worse than ever but I will keep smiling!!! Got mrcp on 28th January , then I see consultant on 1st February to see what he plans to do next.
Yes thanks. Had both son's home for Christmas and mum-in-law. Boxing day my sister and her hubby came. Today seeing my brother and sister, her hubby and their daughter. So a family Christmas.
Good luck with appointments and I hope you have a reduction in pain. I see the specialist in February 8th.
Fingers crossed for all of us that things go n the right direction.
