I received my call at 0400 hrs Christmas Eve, by 0700 I was on the table going to sleep and about to receive the best gift anyone could ever give. 8 hours later and I’m done and in ICU, by 1300hrs Christmas Day I’m enjoying my Christmas dinner.
So many emotions right now. Everything happened so quickly it hasn’t all sunk in yet.
I hope everyone has had the best Christmas. Merry Christmas and a happy New Years

Glad to see you doing well. I was in the same situation this time last year, had my transplant on the 22nd of December. My last Christmas wasn't great, bad trips on morphine and oxycodone, developed a burning fever on the third day and despised a couple of the nurses.
Managed to recover very quickly though and am now almost back to my old self.
Forget everything you've gone through, it will only get better from now on 😊
I think the morphine has made you delirious if you have enjoyed hospital food lol . Seriously I am so pleased for you and I can remember feeling very emotional. I also had weird dreams vivid dreams which were abit frightening , but that's just the effects of having been under so long for op which I wish someone had mentioned to me. Keep us all posted and have a brill recovery . Merry Xmas and happy new year 🙂 X
My hallucinations were awful! I was seeing people who weren't in the room and the worst one was "overhearing" the doctors saying they'd give my transplanted liver to some other guy, they'd used my body as a vessel to keep the organ alive 🤤😅
That would be a good idea because I went to some dark scary places and when I mentioned it to nurses nobody said anything it's only through other tx patients I realised I wasn't going mad or having a foreboding lol xx
Totally agree Jim, I had full on ITU psychosis and it was no fun at all. Some sort of education for patients is a great idea. But on a brighter note, goddamn Identity75! You look amazing mate!
Excellent news and well done. Take your time though, take the recovery time at its own pace and don't rush it, however well you feel. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Omg !!! I am sooo pleased for you 😀. Bloody fantastic news. I cant believe what i am seeing .you look so so HAPPY. have a wonderful new year identity. Take care of yourself 😊..
Blooming fantastic news Identity75 - brilliant Christmas present. Delighted for you and can not believe you managed to sit down to Christmas Dinner so soon afterwards.

2 year old post, not sure how identity75 is doing now - been a good few months since he posted. Was a delight at the time to see him tucking into such a feast the day after t/p.
