Can anyone tell me what it is please as I had loads ultra sound cat scan and liver Mir and I Horta hospital app Thursday and I been worst since I see dr 6months ago I'm scared that I'm going to get discharged back to gp like she said I may at last appointment .Then I'm in trouble gp never same ones in surgery .

Hi Faithfull,

Nothing to worry about with a fibroscan, it's fast and painless and simply takes measurements to give an overall figure for stiffness in the liver, the way the nurse explained it to me was that ideally it should be kind of like a jelly. They take x amount of readings to give an overall score. This will be looked at together with all your other results to determine what, if anything, needs to be done. Many get the KPa reading whilst there. The deluxe model also reads fat in the liver known as a CAP score but mine didn't.

Our GP surgery is the same and the one doctor who knew me well has now retired. They are all qualified GPs though but a consultant should

Thankyou I ain't got to have that I wanted to no just in case .I had the camera to my stomach they thought it was cancer but thank god it's a little ulser scant spell sorry , I think I might have to have it again for bleeding inside as of bouts of sick and headache and sick blood up .got hospital Thursday hope I remember me list of questions! Thank again

Sorry about last message just worried about seeing dr at hospital as I'm feeling ill a lot more could be nerves thanks for help.
