Itching - not scratching the surface

I have extreme itching and visited doctors. They took blood tests with excellent results - no problems indicated anywhere . No idea of problem, but every time I look up severe itching it points to liver problem. Whay can I do next ?

I use organic apple cider vinegar with organic coconut oil. It works for me. That must be awful for you. I am very sorry. I hope you find something that works for you. I never have in all these years scratched mine, I hear it ignites a response for it to become worse. I am sure scratching will inflame the nerves just under your skin. Our skin is I have heard like an organ. Best wishes...

I bathe all over once a month with nizorell shampoo. Strong antidandruff recommended by doc. Can be fungal tho not viable. My itching went straight away. Worth a try. Itching is hellish!!

whether it's liver or not, itching is the most miserable thing!! when i went thru interferon treatment i took hydroxyzine.... saved my life!! i'm sure you folks have something similar! get it!! you will be glad you did

Welcome to the forum.

There could be many reasons why you are itching so badly. If all your blood tests have come back normal it may be advisable to ask for a referral to a dermatologist and a liver specialist who can advise you further?

We would also recommend only to take medications or treatments that have been prescribed or advised by your own GP.
