Irritation and soreness after transplant
Sorry to hear that Bob. My transplant was 6 months ago and my 'L' shaped scar is fine, I can rub or scratch it without discomfort, although I do have a small numb area of about 2 by 4 inches, to the side of my navel.
Unfortunately I'm at a loss as to what to suggest apart from asking at your next Clinic. Hopefully someone else may be able to help more.
Hope you get it sorted soon, must be so uncomfortable.
Mike
Hi red thanks for that . Been to clinic today dr mutimere said it is the nerves ! Becouse they go diagonal accross your stomach , I to have the numbness same place , he says it may or not come back who nose, it's 12 months tomorrow since my transplant , hope your doing well
Hey Bob,
I've been thinking about this and it occurred to me that a gel called Instillagel (lidocaine) or similar may be worth discussing with your doctor. It's normally used on mucous membrane (mouth, nasal passage or rectum) prior to a surgeon examining as it deadens the area. It's only a short term measure though. Or you could ask a good pharmacist (it's available over the counter).
Some doctors prescribe it for hemorrhoids or fissures. I don't know how well it would work with scar tissue though.

Hey thanks Mike I sure will contact my doctor , anything will do , thanks mate
