He is in the right place just now, hope they get to grips with his infection and he pulls around ok. It isn't unusual to have 'teething troubles' - another of our members Chelle has now been under sedation for 3 weeks now post transplant having had to have 2 new livers within 24 hours. It takes a while to get the balance of meds and treatment settled.

Keep the faith and hopefully he will get through this step back.

Thoughts with you, Katie xx

Hi

I was in icu for 3 weeks and in hospital for 5 post op. I’m sure they are taking care of him. We are all different and take different times to get over things. Love to you both

I’m so sorro and hope he gets better soon. Try and stay positive, my husband was poorly immediately after his transplant, but now one year on, he’s really well. I’m sure the hospital are doing all they can.

Sending hugs xxx

He's in the right place. I had a severe issue with fluid in my lungs, but it did self drain eventually. Unfortunately they can only drain a couple of litres at a time with a needle. It doesn't really give you much relief, but it will come good. It takes time. Important part is to keep him positive. Encourage friends a and family to visit. Gives you a break and gives others the opportunity to help him get motivated.

So sorry to hear you are having a tough time and it is understandable that he feels he has had enough. Hospitals are busy noisy places, not at all the quiet soothing environment that you would wish for at this difficult time, but he does need all that medical support at the moment. 🙏 that he can hang in there and will turn a corner soon and the infection can be controlled. Take care and keep fighting with him and can both summon up the immense strength needed now. JX

Some times these things happen but it will get better

Pneumonia is pretty normal laid up for that long if he has been on his back and under sedation he will not change the tidal air in his lungs and it is normal and expected

Keep strong keep supporting him and try to keep yourselfe and him looking to the good future it will start soon
