Hi taylor50plus

Are you in the UK? I am not aware of the Brunt classification for Cirrhosis. We tend to use different grading systems in the NHS.

Can you reach out to your own liver specialist to clarify your stage of cirrhosis and more about it? Here is our general information on Cirrhosis of the Liver from the British Liver Trust website:

We hope you find the forum a supportive place to visit

Warm wishes

Bob, I would suggest you consider booking an appointment with your liver specialist to discuss stage of cirrhosis and clarify any concerns you have.

We do have a nurse led helpline here at the Trust, you are welcome to call us for a chat, but i think in the first instance call your doctor.

Keep us posted, warm wishes.

A Comparison of Brunt Criteria, the Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Activity Score (NAS) & a Proposed NAS-including fibrosis as Valid Diagnostic Scores for NASH

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) can result in cirrhosis and end stage liver disease. It is of utmost importance to differentiate NASH from simple steatosis. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of NASH in Latino veterans with metabolic syndrome and compare histologic grading using Brunt Criteria, the NAFLD activity score (NAS), and a proposed NAS score including fibrosis.

Dr Elizabeth Brunt MD USA in 1999 & recently @ Washington University Hosp. It's pages long, I can't nor am I qualified to indicate what your score means. 🤔

Ps There are UK references Newcastle Hospital 2017 but it's also clinicians terminology. 🙄 Plus this-

You'll find Brunt listed no 35 at the end under References one of 75 clinical teams.
