help my liver is hurting
To be honest with you , you got to stop drinking end of story ? You want to live you , you will stop
Just do it , and his time stick to it. Keep away from anything which tempts you, do you know why you tend to go back to it ? Then whatever that trigger is be hyper aware when you have that trigger.
Hi, As the reply below said, you have to make the choice between living and dying. Not as easy as it may seem, but it can be done. You said you've detoxed previously, well look at the reasons why you have started drinking this time. What has stopped you from drinking in the past, and why didn't it work this time? Very few people cando this on their own. See your GP, loads more info for doctors these days! Be honest with yourself, then look and attend local support groups. Again, there are many more people seeking help these days - and there isn't the same stigma with alcohol dependency as there was even 5 years ago. Please ask your GP/local healthcare team for support and advice. Best wishes, I know it can be done!
I'm in nz too! I can also help you to stop drinking. I've been sober for 6 years...
Are you in Wellington?
kimh.
you have already been in treatment. you know what to do. and you know as an alcoholic, you have no business drinking.
the consequences are very plain...jails institutions and death.
sorry to sound harsh, but if your in pain like that..quit.
go to detox. Don't try and quit on your own. You sound like an advanced stage alcoholic (not from a medical point of view, but from therapeutic one, and no, I'm not a doctor, but I was in treatment a few times, and they class us this way)
You don't want to go into DT's. So go to the emergency room. ask, beg for help.
And then get to some meetings, sweetie..
You don't have to be alone with this disease.
I was sober for three and a half years and THEN got sick..because I did not quit in time. I just had a liver transplant, at 7 years sober, but the years in between were hell, as I got sicker and sicker.
Good luck!
Thinking a god thought for you.
I hope we see you back on this board one day..telling us you got help! "_
