Later today I am going to going to my GPs surgery to give a small talk to about 5 doctors about PBC. This will only be about my experiences however it shows Doctors will listen, whilst the disease has been known about for a while it shows we can still learn about it and help others in the future.

Well done Brummi, hope it goes ok.

Good for you , I really think gp's need to know more about this kind of liver disease , I have autoimmune hepatitis and had a very bad experience with my gp's before being diagnosed, practically having to stamp my feet before blood tests were done and after when they came back very abnormal they were clueless, they arranged an us scan at a local hospital, I woke up the day before my appointment very jaundiced and feeling so ill,I took myself to A and E where I was admitted and stayed in for almost two weeks but I was assigned to a liver specialist who had a good idea what was wrong with me , even the gp said to me after going to A and E was the best thing I could have done. All the best for today and hopefully they will have a better understanding.
That's really good then , I wish all gp surgery's were like that , it's always a good thing to get more information out there and share experiences though.
