Hi everyone. My name is michelle and I am 43 years old I was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis in 2010. I am glad to be a member of health unlocked. I look forward to having someone to talk to with the same problems.

Hi Michelle

You have come to right place, I have cirrohiss, varices, one GI bleed, yes its a very daunting scary disease, one thing it took me 17 months to realise was to be positive and its really working for me, I hope you are staying as well as you can. /Angse

Thankyou angse for the reply back and yes I am doing by best to stay away from the alcohol. I just get so depressed sometime and it use to seem it was some kind of escape.

I defiantly know that feeling Michelle, it seems to take away all problems for that moment, dosent it I really feel for you, I been there with alcohol and depression, it is very hard, I didn't think I could ever stop drinking, but this disease really helped me on that, it was give up or die, I chose life, still not easy, but everyone will help you as much as you need it here,honest you really are not on your own, all the best . Hi, welcome to the family nobody wants to join. As the others have said you will get tones of support on here and you also need to understand what you won't get - judgement. We advise each other but never judge one another and for some people that's more previous than anything else
