A straw poll question - how many people who have any type of liver disease also have an underactive thyroid?

The reason for the question is I know of two others including myself who have been taking thyroxine for many years and all have liver cirrhosis - just curious?

I have NASH cirrhosis but never had any thyroid problems. I think you might just get the positive replies to this question and therefore therefore difficult to analyse the results?

My daughter has an underactive thyroid too.

This is interesting, I don't know exactly what my diagnosis is yet but know I have a problem. I have been taking thyroxine for 30 years following partial thyroidectomy which took too much gland. Regular meds for years. Now levels have changed by 30% since lft test showed problems up but weight hasn't actually changed.
